Race Description: Join us for our 6th Annual event. Previous participants agree Mt. Misery offers a tough 5K course challenge. The course will take you in a figure 8 through the village of Naples, which will allow your friends and family to see you at the start, during, and at end of the 5K.
Course Description: For the 1st time 5K participant, walker or jogger, this is a fun course that will challenge and motivate you. The seasoned and more serious runners will find this course to be a true test of their 5K fitness. This course contains a short but steep hill at the start, a gradual hill in the middle and a steep and longer hill (Mt. Misery) near the finish.
Awards: Special prizes and lots of age group awards will be offered. Shirts guaranteed for all participants whose registration is received by April 18.

- Dino of Fickle 93.3 will act as emcee.

- For safety reasons, pets, rollerblades, and headsets will not be permitted on the course. Wheelchair athletes are encouraged to participate in the 5K road race. Voluntees will be available to handle any special needs that may occur. Strollers are acceptable.
- For your safety, the Town of Canandaigua police will guide and contro traffic to ensure safety and Canandaigua Ambulance will provide emergency medical services to those in need.

- The Medved 5K to Cure ALS is held annually on Father's Day. Proceeds from this event go to benefit laboratory research presently being conducted at the ALS-Therapy Development Institute in Boston, MA. Since its inception, this event has raised over $155,000 for ALS research. With an olympic style finish, around the warning track of Frontier Field, this race features one of the best venues in Rochester running. This event has become a Father's Day tradition for many families in our area. There is also a Youth 1 Mile Run and 1 Mile Fitness Stroll for walkers of all ages.
- Our race features a scenic course that starts right in front of Frontier Field, runs down toward Oak Street, and eventually takes you onto State Street. From State Street you turn right onto Main Street and then you take a right onto Plymouth. The race finishes inside Frontier Field, just behind home plate. The course is Certified to be Accurate by USATF. NY#10118KL

- Free race-day Museum admission, plus post-race food, drinks, and festivities at George Eastman House.
Packet Pickup
- Pre-race packet pickup at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters, 3400 Monroe Ave. on Friday, October 5th, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Pre-race packet pickup also available at the George Eastman House, 900 East Ave on Thursday, October 4 from 4-7 pm
- Race day packet pickup at George Eastman House on Saturday, October 6, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
- Race starts promptly at 8 a.m. (Pre-race packet pickup strongly encouraged)

- In keeping Dante’s spirit alive, the 5k run/walk will be a fun-filled event for the whole family, regardless of running ability.
